On Memorial Day, we decided to just have some fun as a family of three. The weather was beautiful - in the 80s and sunny! Matt let me sleep in a bit while he got in some quality time with Savannah in the morning, and then we enjoyed a late breakfast while the girly took her morning nap. Once she woke up, we headed out to the Huntley outlet mall to do a little shopping.

| That big smile is because she knows we're about to shop! |
The mall is outdoors, so we were able to enjoy walking around with the stroller and getting some sun. Savannah LOVES shopping and was perfectly content to look around as we shopped. We had decided that we weren't going to buy anything for Savannah (she has SO many clothes), but she somehow wound up with a new sunhat, sunglasses, and sandals! They were all things that I've been meaning to get for her, and the sales were too good to pass up! Her little sandals crack me up - she is still wearing a size 1, which was tagged as size 0-3 months, and she's almost 7 months old! She has the tiniest little feet.
After her afternoon nap, we walked to the park and Savannah was able to show her Daddy how much she loves the swings! It was really hot in the afternoon, so we walked quickly and didn't stay at the park for too long. I'm always nervous that Savannah's fair skin is going to burn, but hopefully the sunglasses, sunhat, and SPF 70 sunscreen will keep her protected. ;-)

Matt was glad to finally be able to make it to the park with us.
Hopefully we will make lots of family trips to the park this summer! |
Our day was pretty simple, but we really enjoyed our time together! Matt works so hard for our family, and between his work schedule and all the illnesses that struck our little family during the spring, we hadn't had much time to get out and enjoy the warm weather together! We are looking forward to Matt's schedule lightening up in the summer so we can get in lots of fun family time.
Thank you, Jesus, for a perfect summer day!
